Tyres last longer when they are inflated correctly, rotated on time and inspected before small damage becomes major damage.
1. Check tyre pressure monthly
Low pressure increases heat and wears the outer tread. High pressure wears the centre tread. Check pressure when tyres are cold.
2. Rotate tyres every 5,000 to 8,000 km
Front tyres usually wear faster because they handle steering and braking. Rotation balances wear across all four tyres.
3. Fix alignment issues early
If the car pulls to one side or the steering vibrates, inspect alignment and balancing before the tyre wears unevenly.
Bulges, cracks and sidewall cuts are safety risks. Do not delay inspection.
4. Inspect tread depth
Look for bald patches, cuts, nails and uneven wear. Early inspection can save the tyre from sidewall damage.
